I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

China wants to slap a tarrif on our barley. How about no more iron ore fellas? Reckon we’ll see that or just a whole lot of grovelling?
I fully agree, but I would love to see the replies from twiggy, gina and the likes. I think we have been the ones grovelling for a very long time.. A better idea would be to see it processed here and sold on , but that's another topic for another day me thinks.

If we don't flog it to them they'll get it from someone else. Wonder what all our different levels of government would do without all that money coming into Oz? No more chucking it around on worthless projects like trying to get a seat on the top table at the UN.... about 400 million. No big lavish embassies everywhere like Jakarta... 450 mill.
Maybe no past their use by date subs..... 50 plus billion.
Cut backs on their lavish life after politics travel etc.
Think here of KRUDD and many others constantly jetting around at our expence.
Actually it sounds like a good idea to me, make them learn how to live within OUR means.

I believe they buy it (crayfish wine cheese iron ore) because it is a good quality product at a fair price with quicker delivery from a reputable seller. Put a halt on baby formula exports and see how long till mum’s riot in China.
Was a proposal in the late 70s put up by Lang Hancock ( remember him ) & ( don't you worry about that ) to build a Rail link between the Queensland coal fields and the Pilbara iron ore fields to transport iron ore to Q/land & coal to Norwest Wa , for the purpose of building steel works in both states to process and value add the ore to steel etc .
Not sure what happened but would suggest lack of vision by Gove and the naysayers , or just too big a project at the time , mores the pity .
Sadly that sought of spirit is lacking in to-days Oz !!![]()
So the 15 million tonnes of coal through Newcastle and the 15 million tonnes through Hay Point in Queensland do not count then. The article was referring to the 3 major iron ore companies who export approx. a Billion Tones a year, been keeping Australia afloat for yrs .
