I have always disliked shaving and wearing shoes. I decided to stop both when I retired. I found I needed shoes because of hot pavement, squishy bits, and sharp pieces on the ground, weld splatter, grinding sparks. I found I disliked the beard more than I disliked shaving. I always felt dirty with a beard.

Yep - shampoo and oil and balm and wax and combs and brushes and guides and trimmers, for long or short or in between or thick or thin beards, whether oily or dry, afflicted by beardruff (beard dandruff) or not.....

The Viking look, with a clasp halfway down the beard, which reaches to mid-chest, has a certain look about it, from watching 'The Last Kingdom' on Netflix

I find the idea of growing a beard during the COVID 19 restrictions a little ironic as my profession has been instructed to be clean shaven. Facial hair is not compatible with proper use of PPE.

Just use a nose mask and keep your mouth shut. Works for me.

The only person who offered to plait mine was my five year old granddaughter.

As she also wanted to put flowers in it, I declined her offer.
