    Unless I missed a thread here apparently the debate on the sale of the Scheme went unremarked upon...

    Did we care or not?

    I am not surprised that the pollies went through the usual "this going to make me unpopular" decision making process and am relieved at the outcome.

    Been waiting for this outcome for weeks, just didn't think about it here, tho'. But the state mongrels will bitch and moan about the (curiously and suddenly) parlous state of the Snowy Hydro...Then the NSW state govt will moan more about not having their slice to do jobs they should be doing anyhow...ust because that goose Costa (and Iemma) thought that flogging off a true icon would be a good idea. I think we should just sell them, but who would buy?

    We are going to have to stop selling off our grandmothers... they are intrisically ours but we would no longer be allowed to have access to them...and the money gained will be spent on things that we should already have the right to have (through hard work)...functioning schools and hospitals.

    Apparently many investors are disappointed that they won't be able to make some money controlling our infrastructure.
