It will be interesting to hear how this battery performs
Been looking at stuff from Itech in WA for a while, nice to see an all Aussie company doing great things in manufacturing.
My caravan has 3 x 100 AH batteries installed (lead acid) and frankly, at only a little over 12 months old, they just don’t hold their charge as they should. They also weigh in at almost 70kg! This is all on the ball weight due to them being in the front storage locker.
The new battery weighs a bit under 12kg and due to the higher discharge capacity, is equivalent to 200 AH.
The clever people at Itech have also made this battery compatible with ANY charging system, so no need to go to any further expense changing chargers, solar Regs and the like.
Cheap, well no. Normal price is $1950. They had a “Launch Special” 50% off so just over $1k delivered after a bit of bargaining on the freight.
I’ve looked at other Lithium’s and they’ve been not far short of the normal retail price along with the need to change everything else, so I’m pretty happy![]()

Testing update on several batteries you might like. I was a little worried to hear the charger could be anything on yours as the BMS control seems so important on others particularly Lithium.
Enjoy this- I did noting my batteries are work and followed the issues this report had. Warranty and support are my favourite topic. My work UPS is 2 flow batteries
Hang on! They’re good units by all reports but where do your numbers come from?
It’s a 120ah equivalent and can discharge to 10v giving 105ah of capacity. That’s 70% of what you hadgranted at 1/7th the weight.

Be interesting to see how it performs...
I had a close look at these but went a different way. Hopefully I get to pick up my rig next Friday and give it a test run the following weekend.
Thanks Tombie, I emailed them after reading your post.
The (very prompt) answer is that yes, the useable amp hours of the 120 is 105 ah.
The useable ah of a standard lead/acid is 50% of what it is rated for so a 200ah actually has 100ah useable. This means that the Itech 120 has the same useable power as a 200ah lead/acid”
All things considered, I think the explanation is fair and not in conflict with what you said.
My use means that either the van will be attached to the car, charging via an Anderson plug, or once set up, via a 180w solar panel. Should be ok I think 🤞🏼

I agree that it should for all intents and purposes do the job nicely.
And you can’t complain about the weight saving![]()
