Reminds of along the Mereenie loop as you come up to a section of curves the following is written on a 44 gallon barrel "Liftum foot" and when you get through the curves written on another barrel "putum foot down"

Well now. I'm wondering, if a woman adjusts her bra strap and removes her dentures, what exactly is going on in that vehicle?

My wife told me that she never wanted to go driving on dirt roads again after a trip to Yerranderie in my then company vehicle which was a leaf spring Pajero. The reason - sore boobs....

There'd be more than a few blokes on this forum, who cocould suffer the same painful, condition.

There used to be a similar one, but "LIFTIM FOOT" heading south on the road between Mt Isa and McKinlay. I first saw it in 1964 and it was still there in 1966. I'll see if I can find a picture. It was warning about a very bad grid.

One of the Australian aftermarket suspension companies back in the late 70's used to use the tag line "Take your bride for a ride without her bra. Then come and see us" complete with a very funny cartoon

Can't remember who it was now?

    Found it!

Should point out this was on a State Highway, not a bush track - admittedly nearly sixty years ago!
