    Air compressor bargain?

    G'day all,

Today I stopped off at an autobarn (I had been tipped off by a friend) and picked up an air compressor for inflating tyres - for only $159.

The specs of the air compressor are:

Max Air Flow Displacement: 90 litres/minute
    Max Voltage: DC 13.8v
    Max Amperage Draw: 30 amp
    Max Working Pressure: 150 psi
    Max Restart Pressure: 200 psi
Max Ambient Temp: 60 degrees C
Min Ambient Temp: -55 degrees C
    Max Duty Cycle Time: 40 min @ 40 psi @ 24 degrees C

Now that's pretty identical to the bushranger Max air except the bushranger Max air only displaces 72 litres of air per minute.

The brand is "AUNGER", ones of those Made in China ones.

I have no affiliation with any products mentioned above, I just saw what looks to be a bargain and would thought I'd pass the information on.

I got one similar to that ebay one......off ebay!
Mine was about $80 plus some postage....$90ish at my door.

Anyone in Bayswater-Melbourne may want to check out the similar looking 'cheapos' at a tools shop on Mountaiin HWY.

Sorry I can't be more specific (I too am not affiliated)!!
City side of the railway crossing(just!!) on the north side, they always have wheelbarrows out front, can't miss it!

They had 'em for about $70ish???

i think they are just a knock-off of the max-air pro.....

they look the same but they dont perform the same.....
i met an importer last weekend.....if i see him again in a few weeks as planned.....
and i remember to ask him.....i will enquire about these.....they shouldnt cost more than half their selling price landed here in oz.....

it definitely wont hurt to ask......

bit it sure hurts trying to remember.....

I also got one of them off e-bay about 12 months ago. Paid $100 plus postage.

I see 'Supa crap' has got the one with the big tank on it for $129 on special. Dunno about the air compressor on it, looks small and dodgy for my liking.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to be happy enough with mine for $159.

If only we'd had something like a "Bargain Basement" section to the forum, where other forumites could post bargains they've seen recently. Or is that the shopping trolley section?
