Question for NSW Rugby League history gurus

    All,

I'm looking for any rugby league tragics come history buffs who can point me in the right direction please.

My 87 yo dad was in the school boys rugby league state representative side for NSW in 1947 or 48 and he's asked me to find a team photo for him. He says he had a copy but that was lost sometime in the 50s.

I've tried to search online myself but I'm not sure of the terminology used back then. Dad says "school boys" side for NSW but I'm not sure if it was called juniors, school boys or whatever.

I assume there'd be some historical societies, etc that might have these records? I know the state archives have some photos but without knowing the terminology searching it is difficult.

For clarity; I'm a rugby league dunce who's interest level and understanding of the game would be best assessed as less than zero. Which I suspect may get in the way of any searches I may do.

I would appreciate any help or guidance.

    Cheers,

    Mark.
