One for the Thai foods Afficionados (We really do need a Recipe thread :o) )

About a year or so back we had a Thai meal at a place in North Adelaide, the main dish being what we can recall from the Menu was "Thai Crispy Chicken"

A lovely plate of grub & we would like to have it again. The Restaurant has since disappeared it seems & 'er indoors cannot find it any of her multitude of Recipe Books of various world foods.

It consisted of very finely sliced or chopped small pieces (say 20mm) of Chicken, sliced I reckon. Deep fried in something ( oil ?) & from memory served with a Thai salad of the usual greens & stuff & some sort of dipping sauce. (Chilli?)

The Chicken pieces were crunchy & delicious & while we have had may different meals over the years this is the one that both of us can still recall.

    Anyone svp?

    Thanks.

The Restaurant has since disappeared ..................
Not surprised! A lot of "Thai" food in Australia is tailored to suit local tastes. What type of sauce used is also important, and in many cases it is the sauce that carries it.

Step one: Catch an energetic, panicking chook.
Step two: Get back to me when you have done so....

No sense of humour. He should be grateful we try to emulate Thai grub instead of aiming for Antarctic SeaL meat.

He is very knowledgeable and writes a lot of good reports; when he stays off the hops! He lived in NZ for a few years and speaks good English.
He also drives a D1 Land Rover!
