    You see... that's why I wouldn't want to live in QLD - because apart from damp and dry seasons - that's all you get. You poor guys are missing and entire seasonal "dimension". The snow season doesn't just "occur" all of a sudden - it takes months to come on slowly, so you have all the time in the world to get used to the weather cooling and have time to prepare clothing and heaters, and fire wood stacks, and muld wine, and skis, and snow chains, and all the other great stuff we get to fool with. Besides that - snow on your place is a beautiful sight.

    I couldn't imagine being warm all the time. How boring!

    I wish i could've gone down this weekend and cought the opening of the ski season! but i'm taking off to england on saturday night! i'll just have to enjoy the snow when i get back!
