But but but, you live in Mel. don't you? bloody hell that is real crook, you could have walked there & back in that time & had a coffee on the way.Cartier Watch my arse, someone needs a kick in the ballcocks.
Probably found when the sorting Machine had it's bi- annual clean out, so you were lucky.
Well Tassie post is on its game.
Bought a couple of items Sunday night from company in Tassie.
Get email yesterday saying they posted it.
Get email today from local p/o saying you have parcel to p/up (have PO box).
Parcel is from order I placed on Sunday.
Thankfully it didnt go to Melbourne before being rerouted back down here.

Credit where its due. I've had 2 express post parcels, one from Melb, and another from Sydney arrive in Regional Vic next day recently after being posted in afternoon.
Austpost website says 2-4 days delivery time for most Express post items. Smashed their own norms by 24 hours +. I'm getting everything I can in an express post satchel from now on.
I just had a parcel posted in Sydney take 2 weeks.
Tracking info was useless, got details of when it was received then after 2 weeks it turned up. No tracking updates in-between.
Shortly after I got an email asking for feedback so I told them what I thought.

I hope you kept it clean, Colin.I have experienced their crap tracking which certainly cannot be relied on. It is though parcels visit Mars for a couple of weeks which drops out of their system.
A thought. One day when Man gets to Mars they will have to find their way around the joint & the whole surface may be covered in long, lost parcels from Oz Post.
Who you going to call?
Last package I got tracking appeared accurate - but no clue as to why it took so long.

It certainly seems to be a weird setup. It can be days before you get the latest Tracking Advice & in some cases it goes well out of the way to one's gaff & it tells you that is now being sent on it's way from Darwin or Launceston from Mel. to Adel.
Not a new thing, they have always done it & it doesn't appear to be consistent. Someone used a Priority Mail Bag once & I nearly fell off my chair when I was advised it had arrived & was ready for pickup. The article was only ordered PM the previous day from Sydney.
Our mail delivery has gone from 5 day delivery a few years ago to 3 days then down to 2days a week in October but this week we have had a delivery 3 days so far this week , they must be trying to catch on the backlog. Will see what the next two days bring.
