After 8 working days, the sender was contacted by AP,and told the parcel was at our local Post Office, ready for pick up.
AP had not even tried to deliver it,as the Lady in the PO mumbled, when i collected it.

I put in a complaint to AP about this one, email came from AP,saying it was at PO for pick up.

So i sent an email back, explaining that we had picked it up two days ago,but it had not been delivered to our address,no one had even tried to deliver it,which is what the sender had paid for.

No response from AP,no surprise i suppose.Should chase it up as i do have a complaint number.

    I ordered a Fit-bit for SWMBO just before Christmas,arrived in 4 days,from China......
Ah yes, but don't forget & if necessary, I had to open it to check whether it complied with Regulations & that took about 8 days. I could have sold the contents but my friend didn't require another one of those.. Nor did I but already I have forgotten what it was. Remind me again.?

    Ah good old GOOGLE.

Do postie bikes have anti-lock braking? As I can see a wheel track on my lawn that has gone skid, roll, skid, roll, etc a few times, or perhaps the postie is practising for his Evil Knievel tribute act?

They have cable operated drums front and back so I would say no.

We do the same with any disbursement. No "management fees" on top of any direct purchases : flights, car hire, meals, accommodation. (Un)fortunately we also do a bit of Govt work, and their systems can't accept us invoicing under value. "Accom was quoted at $220, but we got it for $100 on a deal". "No, we must pay entire quotation value or our budgets for next year get cut".

Apparently customer service can be a hindrance.

Wow, I thought Auspost was slow. A package being delivered by USPS is just as bad, maybe worse. In 3.5 weeks it has gone from the south west coast to 1200km further up the north west coast and still not left the country for delivery to Australia. How does this **** happen.
    Cheers

Who knows? It is not as though they have to decipher hand writing, not in this era of electronic Scanners. Did they have to buy the item (s) in perchance?

Australia Post has started using the new electric trikes to deliver my mail, now I have three tracks in my lawn instead of one from the motorbike!

Not sure if the postie was MIA this week or their conveyance broke down, but I noticed there was no mail each day until Friday, when I found the most mail on one day I've ever received IIRC, seven letters and one political communication.
