    That is the beauty of Defenders, they are quite easily modified, all sorts of engines have been put in them, Cummins, Perkins, Mercedes 5 and 6 cylinders, to name a few not already mentioned.

    Those Toyota/Lexus V8's can make a lot of power, I saw a "warmed up" one in a Cruiser at the hill climbs in Mt Cotton that could spin all 4 wheels on tarmac!

    I read there is a rumour LR is planning a V8 Defender using a Jag engine, but it's only a rumour, so may just be wishful thinking. Should sell well in the USA though.
