We came in from the fire damage side. and definatly used two sticks. The guys were commenting on the landscape and it looking like the day after. Lots of trees down. That hill was getting back into the wooded areas.

I take it from the other threads that you were climbing Mount Blundell - were you coming up the west side - in the National Park off two sticks road or on the east side (Canberra side) in the pine forest (or whats left of them). The rangers do a lot of works in the national park filling holes etc -sometimes with concrete. On the other side the trails are graded by the forestry bulldozers so they can get the trees out. I have not done the western side but the eastern side can be quite steep with lots of fallen trees from the fires.
Did you do Mt Coree before the incident - a great view and since the rangers filled the holes at the summit with concrete nice and easy just rocky.
I hope all works out well for you.

Mate, glad to see you and Panda are OK, and no mental scares, not a good feeling rolling over, hope you can salvage most of the parts for a new beast.
Jeez go away for the weekend and all hell breaks loose.

Heard from some people in my local club. That hill requires lockers even in the dry and the point where things went wrong is the killer. The second rock step. Most never make it up aparently so Tony you did very well to get that far up in the wet.
Mate i'd love to but to much on at the moment, the photos dont show much detail, its probably because Scouse is such a crap photographer.Originally Posted by tony
