Why is it called Project Gutenberg? - Johannes Gutenberg made the Luddites grumpy by being the guy who changed our world with the very first wide spreadable Media- Books and newspapers. A very cool man in my view 1468 was the date

I have been downloading books from there for years, but the reminder is very welcome. Their intention is to make freely available every book that is out of copyright, and where possible books that may be still in copyright but not in print.
