The COV19 protests are defying the lock down which IS unlawful and they know verry well that they are breaking the law AND endangering others in the process.
But the point is you cannot protest unless you get a a permit and if the authorites do not like it,then no permit - this is not free speech.

The first BLM protest is a case in point - courts did not believe the cops and allowed it.

The second BLM protest in Sydney was to be conducted in accordance with Covid provisions and only 50 turned up - they were arrested anyway - not because of Covid rules because they complied but because they did not have a permit.

The preganant bimbo in Vic was not breaking any Covid rules in encouraging people to protest - she had nothing to do with Covid processes for the rally just encouraging people to go. This is not freedom of speech.

Latesly you mentioned "legalities" but the question in the test was "People can peacefully protest against government decisions" - there is nothing about legally protesting - so COVID experience shows that "People cannot peacefully protest against government decisions" - this was particularly so in the second - very small BLM protest of about 50 people - social distanced and in the Domain.

There is more than one way to peacefully protest. People could peacefully protest online, but not in a public place.

    Spot on....

A mob is not a protest. A protest is not a mob.

Thích Quảng Đức gave an amazing demonstration of protest.

Where does the "right to freedom of speech" thing come from?
Australia has no Bill of Rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.

Yes, that's a shame. It's the only former British colony which does not have one if I am not mistaken?

Anyway, the germans, months ago, showed us how it's done. The high courts decided that the right to protest (ie freedom of speech) was more important than a pandemic lockdown. They observed some basic common sense distancing and what not but got their protest. Not a mob a protest. Well done!

PS I tried that test since, yeah I might be sick , but I AM a fan of OZ and would like to move there... but I would not make it I'm afraid.

    Well done.
I used to use an earlier version of this test as an English language comprehension exercise with refugee students. Figuring out the correct answers was a good learning exercise. They had to research the language they didn't know. They could do it as many times as they liked. Also used the practice driving test. Very practical.
