It was for delivery to my PO Box . It has been sitting at the PO for 5days & I have been there 3 times in the last 5 days to PU mail & parcels & the lady knows my PO box number don't even have to give her the slip they put in the box she just goes & gets it . If I had not received the notice from Star Track it would be still sitting there.

Hhmm interesting, 1950 When I Googled for some info about this I saw an entry (AP) that they will hold a parcel for 5 days & then slug you $9 for the privilege. Was dated 2016 so it could be $500 now but it might pay to check it out.

It didn't apply to me so I didn't open it, it was just in the Google header/intro.

I looked at the tracking of a parcel the other day that we were waiting for,it went from Tim(Traxide) on the Gold Coast,to Brisbane depot, then the airport depot, then back to Brisbane depot, then to us, on the South side of Brisbane..

Talk about going around in circles.

Could have been worse, Paul. They could have ****ed up the addressee & addresser details & sent it back to Tim.

The Post Office use Google maps.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Ok, credit where credit is due, especially because I’m never confident about Auspost and delivery times. Item booked in for pickup at 1pm yesterday in Sydney, Processed in Bathurst at 8:30pm. Item delivered at 6:30am this morning to Central West NSW.

    Auspost, I am impressed!
    Cheers

I've ordered an item on Dec. 24 from Sydney and received it on Dec 29 at home in Beaudesert. 5 days , 4 of them public holidays ! Ordinary mail not express. How do you explain that ? However, remembering how much better the service used to be 20 years ago I'm not quite ready to recommend Auspost.

Brother & I have a mail box in the complex were our workshop is but never get any mail for our selves in it . We only empty it once the junk mail starts to stick out the slot maybe once every 6 months. Every time we empty it there is mail for a company about 1km up the road. Our address is 4/1472 there address is 4/1274. It is the same with SmartTrack they are always leaving cards for failed deliveries in our door for this other co. The last time I cleaned out our box there was a cheque in there this company has been chasing for almost 9 months. I have contacted AP about the mail man being dyslexic & it is not my job to deliver the mail for them .but still keeps happening . This has been going on for over 10years . I once took the mail back to the post office with everything highlighted & it was back in our box within 2days.

I suggest you totally remove your Letter box since you appear to not receive mail for yourself. I suppose AP would then drop all the other **** on the ground.

Maybe scrub that idea. A dylsexic Postie? That is just what everyone needs. Not.

I spoke to the postie one day about all the junk mail in the box even though we have a sign on it saying no junk mail , he was telling me they have to deliver JM even if there is a sign because AP is being payed to do so. Bit like having do not call on your phone there are too many people that are exempt.
