If you google BA15s specifications they are 67mm overall, with a 47mm "globe"

    Warning tho!
Damn attrocious things to work with.
Can be nigh on impossible to remove in some applications.

I have about 20 of them .. orphaned from brother, who bought them thinking they were a neat idea. They kind of look it, but don't use them in some situations if the fitting is concave.
He used them in the bullbar repeater units, which are ok if a globe is fitted. You can grab the globe ok enough, even if the fitting is rusted and globe breaks, use long nose pliers mangle a bit .. finally will come out.

Not so with these buggas. After a year or so, the rust glued this LED type in, and only due to much swearing did we finally get it out.

You won't get a smaller BA15s bulb.... from memory they're about 20mm long.

    - Why did you need to get it out, - had it failed? I thought 'long life' was the prime LED virtue ! You gets whats ya pay for, double $ buys something to wrap your fingers around!

Liberal spray with WD40 or similar at installation ?

    - and/or Better quality luminaires boasting properly passivated bulb holders, y'know, that rainbow-like orange/yellow cadmium colouration on the steel..

Yeah, died either electronic failure or maybe too much water for too long or something.
WD was used to get old filament globe out, cleaned up bulb fitting etc... and used again before install of LED.

LEDs are supposed to be 'long life' but we all know what that really means.
Which reminds me of a couple of low priority LEDs I need to replace on my D1.
Haven't totally failed, but flickering .. overall I prefer them to filament globes in terms of longevity.
