Definately a TD5, I'm amazed the airbags didn't deploy in the rollover
A TD5 in my seriesIII would be interesting if it would fit
$5K is too high for me. I was thinking of stripping the body and just using the running gear for a paddock basher.
We've got a rally track in the front paddock for a little fun on the weekends!
A set of roll bars and it would be an excellent track vehicle. Pretty light too without all the body work/rear seats/ etc.

Does anyone know or is there any way of finding out what this went for?
Without pre-registering for bidding/looking or being present on the day, there's no 'free' way of finding out. You can buy the info from Pickles under "Prices people pay'.Originally Posted by chriso

Looks like it has a reserve price on it.
It's back up for auction on the 30th of June.

If a brand new TD5 is $17,000 fitted as some on here have said it is the motor alone would have to be worth ever bit of $5K or more wouldn't it?
With the new motor, you get a guarantee.
With a wreck, you take your chances.
If it's a roll over wreck, the engine could have some serious damage that you won't know about until you start it up. Just ask LRHybrid about that.

Second hand td5 engines are regularly available through wreckers for $3.5 - $4KOriginally Posted by ak
