Does anyone know what happened to a fibreglass company called Reinforced Plastics from the 1970s? The company was located somewhere on Fairbank Road, Clayton Victoria. The company had a contract with either International Trucks or Telecom to make bodies for vehicles such as Linesman's or service vans.
I am restoring a D-Line International 1210 ex-Telecom van and I would like to find out what configuration it originally had - especially the side windows. Also, how many bodies were made for Telecom and for what period and what variations were designe? For example, my van has a entry door into the cargo area located just behind the passenger door. I found a photo of an earlier "C-Series" International made by the same company with has nearly every other body-line in common with my D-Line van, except that the C-Line in the photograph did not have the cargo area passenger door.
You could try flicking an email to Bolwell. They are one of Australia's foremost FRP makers these days, not only making their sports cars, but also Kenworth truck bodies and wind turbine blades. Someone there might be able to help with info. they've been around for a while.
