    I'm 35 and deaf as a post and I can't hear it ...

However I am smart enough, and cunning enough to know that I can set my phone to VIBRATE and if someone rings me I get this vaguely pleasant sensation and no one but me knows what is causing it. If I choose I can even answer the phone

I cant hear it although my laptop and external hard drive are quite noisy. All those years of music so loud the doors and windows rattle has to do some damage I suppose. I realised my hearing was not as good as it was about 8 years ago at Christmas whilst shopping in a large shopping centre. My daughter asked me where the singing was coming from. I needed to walk about 50-70 metres closer to hear it.

Played it in Quicktime and WMP, couldn't hear it.

Played in another player and heard it loud and clear.

    Go figure.

Turned out same result for me, wife, and 1yo twins, so maybe not just me.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

Great story about the technology - kids turning something that was supposed to keep them away from shoping centres in the UK into something useful - reckon that's a sign of the playstation generation getting useful.

Anyway - 20 people in my division varying in age from 21 - 49 and we call all hear it.

Did anyone actually try it on dogs? Did they go nuts?
