up date, the extra 24 hrs requested started to draw to a end, but my co ordiniator received a phone call from the lost Planner, the matter isn't resolved fully, but some how someone has waived the fairy wand and $10k has re appeared from the missing money. the builder has shown compassion and is carrying works on lift preparation, and my door ways are continuing to be widened, new doors being hung tomorrow . so it's just a matter of the other missing funding turning up.
Heather is a tough woman and has a lot on her plate, but the other day she broke down, in the 30+ odd years of marriage, I have never seen her is such a state, it tore my heart apart. She doesn't deserve this.

Late mail. as of late this avo we have a positive result, some one higher with in the NDIs has looked into our complaint and stepped in , all outstanding funding is now in my portal. So providers can now access the funds and works can proceed the money has been made available to the portal and l saw it sitting in my mygov portal. The temp shower from the hire company , who were coming to repossess it , have been notified. My funding has had the plan renewed so all spent funds revert back to the original values and we start again for 12 months.

There is going to be an internal investigation to find out why this mess occurred in the first place as it is unexplainable.
so building works can now continue.
So it finally is getting resolved,a squeaky wheel that squeaks the loudest gets the grease, it took my co-ordinater 4 hours on the phone today getting this resolved for me. happy tears

Heather is a wonderful woman, Mario. Take some comfort in the fact that she chose to love you.

    You both show such courage.

John, Heather wouldn't have loved me today if I was able to get the chair into the house after returning from physio.

There was a burst water pipe on Burwood hwy near the local shops and the crew doing the repair had dug up parts of the path up to the next block. There was clay every where , they didn't hose it away, so after have to ride threw it my brand new sparkeling chair wheels and nobby tyres were caked in mud as if l had gone to play at Toolangi forest, so had to hose them clean. Not that easy sitting in a chair swinging the garden hose around and trying not to get soaked , but tomorrow l have a cardiologist appointment and I don't think his receptionist would be too impressed with my muddies driving over the carpet there.

I received my new plan details today and saw the signed names on it, one of them was the original planner who I had bothers with and who we had removed as my planner and another take her place. She has now moved up the ladder and is one f the bosses.

They always promote the incompetents out of the way.

It seems a lot of people have trouble with the National Disability Insurance Agency, which runs the NDIS. The NDIA wants to ensure decisions made by independent planners can not be appealed. With no transparency robo - planning could be used to exclude participants, cut plans, or change the NDIS eligibility criteria. And the NDIA could not be held to account for such actions. The changes would result in NDIS participants undergoing assessments from government approved Doctors to decide what level of help they need.

Independent assessments would be required for people having their plans reviewed, with concerns the government would use them as cost cutting measures.

Mario, I had read excerpts of this thread from time to time since you started it & did wonder how the hell you tolerated that treatment of incompetence & bad decision making but now it appears that may be all behind you at last but looking at media reports I can't help but wonder what in the hell they have got cooked up for you now, if anything. Lets hope not.

    Best wishes.

Just an up date on everything that is finally happening. Today the builder has come back to finish the doors, he hadn't heard from his boss that all the money has been paid, while I was talking to him this morning he got a message from his boss to ring him. The builder said that they are doing the stuff out side first to get ready for the lift for Mario so he can use the wheel chair inside and to get out of the house by him self. And then they will get on to the bathroom with plumber, tiler, electrician and the builder the that is here. So with luck we might have this finished by the end of May. This shouldn't have been dragged out like this. The NDIS system is broken, and when I have talked to people they couldn't believe what the NDIS has put us though. I just hope Mario and I have a better year. A BIG thank you to all your support and warm wishes they do mean a lot to us. Heather
