NRE/ DSE/ DEWLP and now FFM or Forest Fire Management as they are called today, start their day here checking all campgrounds for this very thing. They log them with Firecomm (as they are called now as opposed to Vic Fire) and they generally come up on the emergency app. It happens regularly.

SupporterThe Main reason why WA doesn't have as many bushfires as their Eastern States counterparts is because WA has a TOTAL fire ban over the warmer months of the year including camp fires.
There is a Simple solution to these numbsculls leaving unattended/abandoned campfires and that is to Ban them and having severe penalties for lighting them.
City folk in the bush over summer are a nightmare for the fireies.

Qld generally has a total fire ban during our fire season, which differs quite a bit to yours and in the last few years, the main causes of fires were dry lightning strikes, accidental ignition i.e. cockies/land owners using a welder, grinder etc and unfortunately, arson!
A couple were 'Controlled Burns' which got away.
