Discovery 3 2006 Bonnet Chequer plate

Hi there, I have a Discovery 3 2006 in fair condition. The bonnet has a bit of hail damage and the paint is fading away badly.
Seeing as it’s used mainly for off-roading, I don’t want to spend on a respray. Does anyone know of any bonnet protection such as chequer plating or any other suggestions?

    thanks

Depending on how you attach chequer plate , it never really sits flat and sweats and gets dust under it. It might not matter to a defender because it has no straight panels , but may affect the look of your Discovery.

You can buy a false self adhesive simulated plastic product but I'm unsure how it would last in the heat....engine & sun.

Surely someone here has tried what you want to do.

In design only, actual product may vary.

Would flat panels rather than straight be a better description? Flatter than a D3 at least.
