    Vale Charlie Pride

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

He died from complications with COVID.

Last month in Nashville, Mr. Pride received the Country Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented to him by Jimmie Allen, a young Black country star. It was his last public performance.
Organizers of the event said they were “following all protocols” for dealing with Covid-19, but some in attendance were not wearing masks.

Yes, I heard that on JJJ earlier today. Not my kind of music but I know the words and can sing along to his songs.

    RIP Charlie!

Funny how some things get to you emotionally. Charlie was my Mum's favourite singer, she would sing his songs so well. I had to go check the rain gauge, in the rain today [ no one can see you cry in the rain]. Haven't done that since she passed on. Getting soft.

    It comes with age, Bob.
    Cherish the memories, mate.

PS. We're awaiting your comment in the Upcoming Events, Blackbutt thread.

A bit of controversy over whether Charlie caught COVID at the CMA's.
