Never met you Brian, but I very much enjoyed reading every one of your posts!
Take care, DL
I agree with all the previous comments.
You don’t need to leave just because you don’t have a Landy. Your knowledge will always be in demand.
Whatever you do I hope it goes well for you and your family.
Brian, We have never met, like ships passing in the night, but have really enjoyed and respected your comments and stories about machinery and rural life.
The very best to you and your family.
Dave
Much has been said and like many here I have never met you. One thing I am sure of though is at some point I will search this place and find your comments and no doubt they will be either helpful or amusing, or perhaps both.
All the very best for whatever the future holds. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
Take care.
First up Brian, all the best for the future.
My mother made 83 with out dialysis, failing kidneys for about 10 years but rapid deteration in the last 12 months. Spent her last 4 weeks in hospital waiting for a bed in age care home as she had started having flls and dad at 87 could not pick her up any more. Peacefully went to sleep onjune 10, at peace and smiling.
I am not yet 60 and have failed kidneys, lost a lot of funtion in mine during covat lockdown, couldnt get to a gp for 5 months and they went from 30% to 6%. Havie been doing dialysis for about 10 weeks now. First up the fiscular in my arm wont not funtion and at that point I nearly pulled the pin (very close), they then put a vascaff in my neck ( couple tubes in the neck that basicly go down into the heart). The fiscular is now working and in about 12 months I will start doing home dialysis with the view of seetting up the dialysis in my coaster camper and thee you wont stop me.
Had to make a lot of tuff lifestyle changes, selling boats, 4 wheel drives
etc and deal with major depression
Set your sites at 90 Brian , I have mine set on 80
And you are so very right dialysis sucks big time
cheers

ps I also enjoyed your posts, so when ya have a spare minute drop in for old time sake
Hi,
Sad to hear you are leaving the AULRO family.
It is blokes such as yourself that make this place what it is with your incredible life experiences, knowledge base,
and ability to recollect it all when the need arises.
Enjoy the next phase of your journey through life, its sad to gear you are having to deal with renal disease/failure.
Just like any product that sports the "Green Oval," the "Human Body" also has wearing parts.
Cheers for now and take good care,
Mick.
Well I've heard no cheering, Brian. The consensus seems to be that you'd be missed and you're not allowed to leave.
Thanks', Brian, for your company on this forum and also your, more often than not, invaluable knowledge and input. Also, your ability to keep some of AULRO's miscreant, heavy vehicle drivers honest.
Come what may, stay positive.
If you were of Pommie extract, you would be keeping a 'Stiff upper lip'![smilebigeye]
Is there a Nordic equivalent?
Cheers
Steve
