    Farewell to all at Aulro

Fellow Aulrovians, it is time for me to bid you all adieu. I am now 80 and in poor and failing health. I have sold the County-Isuzu, the No. 5 trailer, and all the spare parts and accessories. It is time to put the cue back in the rack and relax with the family through what time I have remaining. Estimate is 2 years or up to 5 if I submit to the indignity of dialysis and a nursing home.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

    Bigbjorn (Brian)

80? Barely run in for an old two stroke. You're not the oldest (nor most troublesome ) on here.
Appreciation of, rather than ownership seems to be the criteria to be welcomed here.
Thank-you for your knowledgeable advice and dubious humour, keep visiting and we'll keep enjoying your company.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Sad news indeed! Reaching old age is great but sadly none of us can predict in what condition we arrive in. I hope you enjoy the time left to you in a manner of your choosing. Your membership here was/is valued. As has been said....don't be a stranger and drop in from time to time. Welcoming Land Rover aficionados await you.

Fare thee well old Truckie's mate. Thanks for your knowledge of things archaic. Remembering your trips back in equipment history was a joy to read, Brian.

80 is no age at all in the scheme of things & I wish you better health for the future.

Back at you young fellow. A nifty 92 year old lady told me about young whipper snappers giver her a hard time at her new digs in a retirement place. I was concerned and offered help with the "young whipper snappers giver her a hard time". She advised she could take care of them!

I did ask how old they were after she saw her Doc and was leaving. She told me "They are only in their 80s"

Merry Christmas and take care young guy.

    Brian,

I will be very sad to see you go. One of my regrets is never having had the opportunity to meet you in person.

I am sorry to hear you are in poor health - I'm only a year behind you, but so far in good health (for my age!).

You will certainly be missed here, even if you don't still have any Landrovers.

For myself, I am off to Yass in my Isuzu County tomorrow for Christmas.

All the best for the future, and by all means drop in from time to time if you can.
