We had a lot of rain, a good stiff breeze & not much else.
No damage here except by water.
Our company's Normanton shop did not fare so well with roof & water damage, it has to have all the electrics checked before it can re-open.
We did have some fun though over the week-end. Some kids decided it would be a good idea to throw a chain over & across the power lines down town (what we call down town).
This took out all the towns power, because ergon was slightly busy with cyclone type issues it was a couple of days to be fixed. This also set a house on fire & a couple of power poles when everything shorted out!
Because the power was out & it was raining the telecom system also went out once the batteries died.
So no phones, no internet, no mobiles & no power.
Situation normal then!
All fixed now & the power didn't worry us as we have a big generator which runs the whole compound.
We now await the next cyclone, vandalism, flood or whatever the world throws at us.
