I didn't do anything today, but I DID look. It's the work of less than an hour IMO. Bloody landlord/council. I'll do Mario's street tomorrow. The main road stuff will have to wait until Monday.

John, its suicide on this side of the road in a wheel chair, ad you come down the the high side foot path and get to Belgrave it's extremely steep and there is a dangerous camber on the path and a steep kerb with a dangerous drop on the kerb to the right hand side and a blind spot for cars coming around that corner, the ramp on the other side of road is too steep climbing up, the foot path on the approach to Safeway is steep and a roller coaster, the attached pic doesn't show the true difficulty.

Hence i cross the lights at the Bonton and take the other side. I wont cross Burwood hwy elsewhere unsupervised.

I remember that with mum. She had a mobility scooter. There was no safe way for her to get from Mast Gully Rd to Tecoma. No footpath on her side, and on the other she could get to McNicol, but that was it. If the council, or VicRoads or whoever had the sense to include McNicol road into the Sandell's Rd lights it'd be fine, but they don't.

And, yeah, that bit between Wattle and Reynolds would be an issue for you.

Gee thanks John, I went past it at 12pm on way to physio, you must have come after 1pm., now when the council come they'll scratch their heads and say what as I talking about, they still haven't rang me yet
I'll have to tee up a day to go local and have a coffee with you.
Just don't go around clearing the vegetation like agapanthus coming out from the homes along Burwood hwy to Belgrave as the residents might get aggressive and certianly don't go repairing the foot paths or digging up the cross overs as I think you'll get in trouble with the authorities.

Thanks, but not at all. it took ten minutes, 15 if you add in that I had to go back because I'm a muppet and forgot the broom. I live in the same Shire, and my bloody rates are around $3K PA. It's a disgrace, and I wish Mario had posted this earlier, because he's been a good mate to me.

    Least I could do.

I received a call from a council officer today to say they would get another officer to go an have look at it.
I told him, too late 70yr old good samaritan ( aka John Tins) was kind enough to prune it back.

He said that was nice of John, yardy yarda .
I told him it was the wrong plant to have in that location and the situation will just repeat it self over and over again like it has in the past. He told me he will contact the owner and talk to them but they are powerless to ask the owner to remove .

Pretty weak that some thing that impacts others on public land and council can't intervene, yet if you park on a nature strip out side your home they come and fine you.

(this just reminded me when my neighbour parked on the nature strip and the council fined him. so he rang the council and told them off and asked them why the council employee that lives in the next block and has a ute with council sign writing all over it is allowed to park on the nature strip out side his place of residence? They promptly cancel the fine.)
