You'd have to be severely brain damaged to move state because of covid.
.....the % of Victorians & other Southerners who moved to "Rick130-ville" to escape the Covid-19 scare & now are ****ed off with the floods & wish to move back to Vic.
From the frying Pan into the fire so to speak . Real estate would have gone bonkers in both directions & folk sold up every thing to live around the border.
Just sayin.
You'd have to be severely brain damaged to move state because of covid.
MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595

1958 Holden FC special sedan

I'd guess it as 0
Everyone i have spoken to that has moved (i'm not that far from rick130 territory) was either a. Moving anyway before covid hit, or b. have worked out they can work from home so why not move to somewhere that suits their life or lifestyle better.
There has been an influx of Melbourneites here. Pre Covid a house could be on the market for a couple of months before it was sold and prices reflected what the town was aka all of the houses were prefabricated in the UK and imported. Like early Landrovers...CKD.
Now when a house is advertised it only lasts for a couple of days or is sold within 24 hours. Prices have skyrocketed too with an over night increase of $150G/$200G.
These newcomers are also changing the town and not for the better. Unfortunately they have also brought their big city attitudes with them which is destroying the friendly, rural atmosphere of the place...where, for example, saying G'day as you encountered other shoppers was normal. Do that now and a frosty stare is the result.
Not happy Jan...........
I wish I could move permanently down Rick130/Verns area,I am getting tired of sitting in the traffic for two to three hours a day at least![]()
Interesting. Where are you Grumbs? Have heard similar stories from SiL on the Q/NSW Border. She is in Q
Your Sig says Victoria.
Your last Para is not only there, but happens here in the Adelaide Hills with ****ty suburban thinking & habits & properties that are no longer "Rural" but extensions of suburban properties they left behind & when they get here they seem to want to change it to what they had.
