A warm response to a Brass Monkey.

Thursday before my Easter sojourn, my day fridge (11 litre Brass Monkey) stopped working. It's a handy size and compact enough to open whilst driving.
I raced into Jaycar to replace it. Whilst being served, I casually mentioned that the one I had, had stopped working. He asked how long I'd had it, to which I replied, about two years. Apparently this line has a three year warranty and checking my Nerd account revealed that I'd made the purchase sixteen months ago. A quick check confirmed a compressor issue that couldn't be fixed on the premises. I was cheerfully given a new, replacement fridge.
Good one Jaycar and Brass Monkey.

    Good to know

The 15litre BM I used every day is still chugging away nicely
Keeps the lunch and a few bottles cool for midday refreshments

If it craps itself in the next 18 months I’ll be doing the same thing

    Just bought a new Evakool 85litre today $998 + $55 for delivery
I’ve been humming and haaring for a while, at $1999 rrp and best I could find was $1700 I was saving for some new muddies
But with the el cheapo 225/95/16’s to keep the rig on the legal side and the special price today, win win

Bad luck comes in threes, so hopefully good luck will follow suit (and win win win)

    G'day Ian,

After reading your post I visited the Brass Monkey website - accessed 8th April 2021 from, Fridge / Freezers | Brass Monkey. I could not find an 11 litre capacity unit. Maybe it was a Jaycar special? I found an 8, 9 & a 15 litre one then lots much larger ones on the Brass Monkey page. Which one is the closest to your unit?

    Kind regards
    Lionel

Good to see you've had a win, Ian.

I was thinking to myself that it was a large for 11 litres!

    It's about 11 litre usable capacity. 1 X 2L iced coffee, 1 X 2L coke and a 40oz square bear almost fill it.

Not to mention that milk product that you consume, that's way past it's "Use By" date!
