Mount 52 deck for Lifeboy sentry in my slick rubber suite during RAS and similar and from 10pm till 6am over night when the billion stars and I spent many hours alone or the Helm steering the beast at speed. Love that ship and her crew still.

The New ones is ubber cool just not my babyTell you a story about the sentry , on the Vampire. Sentry calls the bridge, " UFO , dead astern" OOW looks aft, it's the full moon, the movement of the ship made it look like it was following us.
We had just come back from a deployment, were going into intermediate docking [ boring ] when a message came across on Monday morning, they needed a 'tiffie in a hurry, [ like they sailed at 10 AM for Rimpac. ] A 'tiffie had broken his arm, so I got a trip to Hawaii, happy days. That means I served on all three DDG's. Vampire was still my favourite though.
