Mate Stuart had a resident piper, he used to stand on the 4.5 mount fwd. Stuart did a trip up north with Vampire, Vampire's focs'l party used to try to knock him off his perch with heaving lines. I've never seen a piper do a jig while piping before that.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I'll post this because it shows the most important space on the ship. No1 Engine Room.

Life buoy sentry? That's an OD's job. Real men keep them burnin' & turnin', down below. Tell you a story about the sentry , on the Vampire. Sentry calls the bridge, " UFO , dead astern" OOW looks aft, it's the full moon, the movement of the ship made it look like it was following us. I spent 3 months on Hobart, back when I was single, silly and sozzled. Now I'm married . We had just come back from a deployment, were going into intermediate docking [ boring ] when a message came across on Monday morning, they needed a 'tiffie in a hurry, [ like they sailed at 10 AM for Rimpac. ] A 'tiffie had broken his arm, so I got a trip to Hawaii, happy days. That means I served on all three DDG's. Vampire was still my favourite though.

They really do not wear anything under the kilt, it goes to prove.
