Roo bar may come in handy for those pesky shoppers![]()
if you thought car insurance is dear, the insurers price their premiums on statistics, well there must be a lot of wheel users crashing into things or running over people. got quoted $682 for the $26k chair comprehensive and public liabilty, so when some one on the mobile phone walks out of a shop door without looking and trips over me l am covered. Going have to look again, not many mobs around though.
RACV wheel chair assist (yes it does exist) was $30 a year. signed up for that today

Could you call it a mobile home - much cheaper to insure that way.
And I can’t imagine how many people may trip over or walk into you when in a wheelchair - a lot of people can’t even see things in their line of sight because they’re too busy looking at their bloody phones.
Had a young woman walk straight into me at a fair clip in the supermarket the other day while I can taking something off a shelf - she grunted, turned 30 degrees and strode off again while still looking at her phone - straight into a pallet that was in the aisle being unloaded by a young lad but it could have just as easily been someone like yourself and at the speed she was going she would have hurt someone.
All the best with your search for a better rate - I wouldn’t have considered such a thing even existed before your post but it makes sense when you’re talking about public liability.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Might have to have a look at the RACV wheel chair assist for a gent who runs out of power in front of my place frequentlyThe extension lead is left ready for the kids to recharge him.
I know his wife but do not speak the language. Nice as it seems to be a part of your cars break down service if you have it Mario? "With RACV’s emergency breakdown service, you’re entitled to up to 8 callouts a year."

l had a few ppl advise me my tyres need air. but that's how they are supposed to before bigger foot print as it is an all terrain chair. l can see that every one l meets going to tell me l need air.
You should get Public Liability with you house insurance. May be worth checking about the wheelchair as well.
Do you have to rego the chair? Up here it's done, number plate an' all.
It's a nominal fee but covers for third-party injury, same as a car.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
put a decent horn on the chair, they'll look up then
