I'm looking at replacing my diesel Territory ( 3rd Terri, one petrol and currently on the second diesel).
40K usage per year, over 2 tonne tow capacity, 7 seats would be nice.
Currently looking at the Pajero Sport but haven't driven one yet, those tail lights are a bit 'special' though.
10 year warranty ( need to read the small print).
Everest is a possibility but not sure about either of the motor options and a bit exxy.

Some interesting comments in this thread about other brands and yes, confusing.

One of my other brothers has a one year old Paj sport.

    He likes it.
The only issue is in the soft sand the factory bash plates become a scoop for the sand,as it’s pretty low.
He replaced them with some after market ones that reduced the issue.
He has also been looking at a suspension lift but hasn’t done anything yet.

How much are the new defenders? they look like a pretend 4wd (dumb wheels, low profile treads .... ). I bet its tow capacity is good .... and I'm sure it has excellent ride quality (lets be honest here .... NONE of them are going offroad .... )

I've never been in a renault that doesn't have big soft seats and soft suspension .... Hopefully nothing has changed.

Renault Koleos review: The 2020 SUV you probably forgot about. Comes w/ Apple CarPlay + Android Auto - YouTube

Intersting, I just watch his summation at the end (i can't be bothered watching the rest). Yeah, sounds like good renault seating and ride quality. I"m not really a fan of CVT though.

    About twice the allocated budget

Which makes something like a Y62 excellent value.

And comes from Europe. Apart from those couple of deal breakers, it fits the bill perfectly.

Did not know that patrol was illegal in America!

Why is the Nissan Patrol Illegal in the United States?

Seriously, is there ANY CVT which is nice to drive?
Asking for my wife who is about to buy a new 'small' car, eg, Suzuki, Mits, Honda etc.
From comments I hear over the past months, they are all pretty much forgettable.
Who doesn't have a CVT these days as that is the small car I'd be interested in.

The Toyata eCVT in the hybrids is quite unlike the other CVTs.
    It works brilliantly
