I saw a couple of episodes of "Pimp my Ride" when it was on free to air. From what I saw you wouldn't want to watch anything they did to a car you care about.
The show was good for a laugh but the vehicle was just an excuse to fit lots of bling. Loads of red leather, chromed things, fancy paint, fog machines etc. followed by the obligatory 'radical' item like fitting a bath in the back of a van or kitting out a ute with a pool table.
They probably gave the Land Rover lowered suspension!

Thats what makes Overhaulin good, one of the worlds greatest car designers, Chip Foose, does the designing and he doesnt just look for an exuse to add bling to the car, he actually makes them look really good. Last week they did a 1950 model ford of some kind, cant remember but at the end it looked awsome, they kept the old styling whilst making it look modern. He is very good at what he does. Matt

Chip Foose, Troy Trepanier and a schwag of big names in rodding and street machining. Lucky the owner recognised the talent that was assembled and had them sign the car.
Pimp my ride is funny, but the workmanship can be pretty shoddy. Plus some of the ideas are just plain stupid. Like monitors in each corner of the bumpers of a car, WTF for??
