    Shed recommendations for Brisbane

    Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for getting a 3 bay garage built in the back yard.

I would appreciate any feedback from people who have had a good or bad experience (PM for bad experience).

I had a bloke come out from total span and was a compote knob, so reluctant to go with them. Shame because I don’t mind their sheds.

    Thanks in advance.

Built a few TotalSpan sheds and am currently relocating a 6x9x3 for a customer (purchased secondhand). They are not very builder friendly ( which may not be your problem) and are at the entry level of the market.

If you want to go with an Australian made product, an easy tell is the actual names of the various colours. Lysaght (Bluescope) changed all their colour names and trademarked them. The end result is if an old colour name is being used then it is not a Lysaght product ( despite claims of being manufactured in Australia).

What size are you considering ?

Ta Pop. What brands do you recommend?

I’m doing two shed projects. I dismantled a total span 6x12 (4bay) and relocating it to the family farm and building new shed (6x9) at Hm.

Shame your not closer. Bundys not really a commute.

While a mate is happy with his Titian……he found the experience of dealing with them very disappointing.

I think he has one of the early Titian Houses.

His tip is read the fine print and understand what happens when there are delays, from memory they held his to ransom over payments even though it wasn’t completed.

I had mine built in Brisbane by H. A . Manufacturing Yamanto Ipswich. Could not fault there work & a very solid construction, good price & they did everything including the slab. I had been to a couple of well known Co's that advertise on TV & they didn't want to know but one did send me to H.A.M . From when I signed on the dotted line to completion was very quick.

In reality, most of the sheds using genuine Australian products are very similar. Just be sure you are comparing apples with apples though. If 2 (apparently) similar sheds are thousands of dollars apart, there is usually a good reason for it. As Wayne mentioned, the customer service from a local is worth it's weight in gold. There are a few big sheds companies here in Bundy of which 3 actually have manufacturing facilities in town. If you have any issues with any of these, they can be resolved in a day instead of waiting a week for the next delivery truck to arrive.

I note that Titan was mentioned and they are one of the crowd that claim " manufactured in Australia " yet are still using all the old colour names. No matter who you choose, it is worth asking where the questions about origans, colours, etc. They also use ARD rollerdoors which are their own brand. .

I've heard similar stories, time seems to be an issue with them.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Titan was one of the Co's that were not interested & they were the ones who sent me to H.A. Manufacturing .
Brother & I owned a steel & alum fabrication business but we were not into shed building & were extremally busy at the time , I wanted somebody who would do everything & not have to worry , the finished product looked well made & there were no problems from start to finish & was made in Ipswich .

Ranbuild on the Sunshine Coast did our double garage plus carport. Cost about $20,000 from memory. We got 3 quotes, all similar.
    Happy with ours.
Vermin barriers are a good idea.
Check the height of roller doors. We had ours manufactured with taller openings for the Defender.
We did lights and power points separately with a local electrician we have used for other jobs.
We had some site leveling done separately, but it turned out to be a waste of time because Ranbuild's contractor re-did it anyway, so I wouldn't bother next time.
