As for feeding the dolphins just to make a quid, They should Never have been allowed to do this in the first place.
Leave them alone and their survival rate will increase ten fold

I visited Monkey Mia in the late 90s and we watched the dolphin feeding. There was a dolphin named Nicky who came in a lot. Later on we were sitting on the pier and a dolphin cruised past and I said "that looks like Nicky". The dolphin turned around and cruised back past us with one eye out of the water - clearly checking out who we were and if she knew us.

Covid relevance edit: due to Covid border restrictions I can't currently visit Monkey Mia.

Our premium tariff runs out in 2024 so at that point I'll make some changes to the system, including adding a lot more panels.

I wondered about that - but if you switch to batteries the solar can stay on?
Yes because the solar will keep charging the batteries if the system you choose is capable of doing so.
If using the generator, the solar must be off otherwise you can damage the inverter.

As for hybrid systems, the best we use are the Tesla's so far, simple and will back up your whole house. We do LG, but they are rubbish in comparison.

2 of the best Tradies I learned off during my apprenticeship were both Woman - that was 33 years ago so they’ve been doing it for a while. Both of them would make a Sailor blush with their language - it didn’t make anyone curb their attitude or language back then - that was even when the smoko rooms were full of pics of topless models, etc and that’s all calendars had in them back in the day.

"If using the generator, the solar must be off otherwise you can damage the inverter".

Is what we do having a separate CB on the panel or an Isolator next to the Inverter.

You can either switch the solar out with the changeover switch or else send a signal to the inverter to shed it with an auxiliary set of contacts off the change over switch, but however you do it, you need to make sure it’s off before the gen comes on line, or you risk letting the magic smoke escape.

Not recommended after a bushfire. Or if there is a Koala attached.

Sorry to bring you back to Earth, but Son of OMICRON is here. No one knows if it is more dangerous, but common sense says masks , social distancing, and the booster are important. Common sense seems short on the ground ATM, but it has been from day one.

If there are those out there struggling with reality, here is some advice from some old sailors. And no, no one made a sailor blush with their language.

I always thought people became sailors to escape reality.

Then again maybe they were just trying to find a new one.
