Oh, really? Are you going to explain to people why their loved one died in a hospital carpark because the hospital was full?
I saw a story about an ex-marine in the USA who needed a Gastro op, but couldn't get into 3 surrounding hospitals which is what they'd do under normal circumstances, eventually they choppered him to an out of state hospital, but he died anyway as some blood circulation had been cut off too long, 6 hours IIRC.

No, I won't be explaining anything, I am fully vaxxed and wear my mask properly.
But it is going to happen and we need to bite the covid and move on with life and death.
No one says boo about our yearly death toll of many and varied causes.
And our hospitals have been under duress b4 covid came around and ppl have died because of it.
Nothing changes mate, once the emergency is over the people and the pollies carry on as normal.
More bad news I'm afraid, if you read your mask directions and/or vaccine card/certificate you won't find any guarantee against getting and spreading Covid.
Also people do not have to put up with bad treatment and if enough complain an enquiry, royal commission etc can (eventually) be held or they can take legal action, see for example Horrifying stories from regional hospitals reveal system’s failure (smh.com.au)
That's a bit of a facetious argument as you can clearly see from world wide data that doing both these things drastically reduces your chances of both catching/spreading it or being seriously ill from it - we can't stay locked down forever because a small percentage of vaccinated people can still get sick or die. If that was the benchmark, no one would be allowed to drive a car - seat belts and airbags dramatically improve survival in an accident but don't guarantee survival. Flu and other Vaccines the same. The virus is endemic in the community now - it's not going away - you can either get what's available or not and take your chances either way.
Oddly I hadn't until my sisters demanded we start planning a post lock down feed[biggrin]

i noted in this morning news that there are rumblings in the USA that they are now believing that allowing it to become endemic is not the way forward ... bit late i thought to myself
be interested to hear how in hell they propose to do that
didn't get a chance to read the articles to see whether they were for real or just clickbait....
Got a message from my sister in law this morning in the UK to say she's returned a positive PCR and is feeling pretty crappy. She's vaccinated, so it'll be interesting to see how she goes.
We've had another friend over there cop a dose a couple of months ago and she said "It's the worst thing that has ever happened to me and if I wasn't vaccinated I probably wouldn't have survived". She's not soft either.
We live in interesting times.
