    Problem uploading pics

I'm sure there was a thread on this but I can't find it.

Trying to upload pics from the weekend to my gallery. They are only 100-150kb, I have tried a few at a time, one at a time, neither works, session cookies are enabled.

Every time it hangs up my computer and then I can't get back into AULRO until I have cleared everything imaginable out of Exploder AND re-booted, twice.

    Very frustrating.

    Use a real browser

    http://getfirefox.com

Seriously though, sounds like your system has other issues that need to be resolved first.

Ok, I've tried a different machine using Explorer, worked for one pic but was very slow, my machine using Firefox, same, another machine running Linux and Mozilla, worked for one pic, again very slow, didn't work for multiple pics, just timed out, now it is also timing out for single pics.

    Edit: I have a 10Mbps connection.

    Hi Richard,

I managed to get a couple more up in my gallery. Thought I was doing ok today, it let me upload some no worries, then just started timing out again.

The really bizarre thing is that once it does that, it won't let me back into AULRO at all, not even the forum, for an hour or so, then it's ok. But it will only let me upload a couple of pics a day. Weird.

Even more bizarre is that if I close Firefox and open Explorer, it still won't let me in. I hace tried disabling the Windows firewall, but I hav no control over the work firewall. I'll try from home over the weekend.

Frenchie - that was going to be my next question - is it a firewall issue. If your work employs a decent firewall, most of them will, by defauly, block the "post" function, disabling uploads via most php-driven portal engines like this one. Wouldn't hurt to ask your IT manager if that's the case.

That would make sense, but why does it work sometimes?

Be interesting to try from home, I'm only on dialup though.
