Going back a few years I got an Ipod. My local pub was 2 kays away with most of it being a rural road.
I would walk home and it was always dark, so if a car came you always knew because of the lights, long before I heard it.
So walking with with ear buds listening to music was ok.
However, I found it not enjoyable. I much preferred to listen to nature, which during winter months was basically silence.
With all the day to day noise we encounter, it was much more enjoyable walking home without any.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

My first year at uni, I lived in the student accommodation at the back of campus - separated by some bushland, only a short walk or stagger from the campus tavern. There were many nights heading back to my room when there were drunken bodies lying in the scrub of those who hadn't quite managed to crawl home! I managed to make it home every time, although some nights, like the end of semester bashes, it was a close run thing...
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
Hi,
Two km to the pub, five km return?
The difference is staggering!
Cheers
Update. Just back from another outing in the LR 88. Something that needs looked at is women out running/jogging/walking in tight fitting outfits. It was nearly the undoing of me today.
As long as it is only your mind and emotions that is undoing ,you should be OK Spud.
Does that include ‘AUSLAN’?
