AAAHHH this was a place around the corner from i used to Live in the Uk called Andover(around the corner I mean 30 k's away). It was a bomb hole from the ww2. Is a great place to play . But those hills you see them drive up and down are very very steep.
It is a place where some sorts of people do go and dump cars

That XJ was a tough little bugger. Goes to show that those who were worried that a monocoque design was weak, had nothing to worry about....

A thousand bucks will buy you a running XJ in the US. Divide that up between a few people and make a video. Sounds like an entertaining day for those who like to do this sort of thing.

Don't know where you heard that one - I've had two and they were very reliable vehicles - and highly modified. If one was involved in an accident and then sold off - I'd expect problems like you state. Otherwise - nah.

Go to www.ausjeepoffroad.com (the Jeep equivalent to this forum) and ask if they've ever heard of this. I doubt you'll get a positive answer....

Can't help wondering though, whether they disposed of the jeep properly after making the video or, (which I suspect) just walked away from it.

Hey... Don't forget that the Jeep was the original 4x4. The Original Series I was a blatant copy of a Jeep. On top of that... The Camel Trophy was first run with Jeep CJ5s (then switched to Landies).

I've had a number of Grand Cherokees myself... I loved the one with a 5.7l V8.. I could powerslide that sucker.

    To fill the tank.... Yep!

I had the 5.7 Jeep when I was working in the USA.... That car was thirsty, even by American standards.
