How funny was it the other night when they tested the Supercharged V8 Range Rover Sport?

I thought the show and the R/R sport were fabulous.

    BitTorrent Information

OK - here is some info for people wanting to download Top Gear -

The fastest way to download extremely large files (such as movies & TV shows) is by using a BitTorrent client. Using torrent files you are actually downloading files from anyone else who has the same file and is running another BitTorrent client. In addition, once you start downloading a file, your BitTorrent client makes it available for others to download off you. Consequently your download takes a piece of the file from here and a piece of the file from there until it is complete.

Firstly you need to download a BitTorrent client - I use uTorrent (www.utorrent.com). Most info and instructions are on the uTorrent website.

Next you need to open a port on your computer to allow uTorrent to shovel information through. Selected programs open selected ports on your computer (eg. Internet Explorer, FTP etc). Again, information on how to do this is on the uTorrent website (accessible using the help menu in uTorrent).

Next - if you are running a firewall (Windows XP has one built-in) you need to make an exception so it doesn't try to block access by uTorrent. You should just get a prompt the first time it is run and select "permit always" or something like that.

I am not an expert by any means, I set mine up just using the info supplied in the program.

Finally you need to download the "torrent" files for whatever shows you wish to download. Top Gear torrents can all be accessed through www.finalgear.com. Just drop the torrent file into the main uTorrent client window and away she goes. Speeds will vary depending on the number of people suppying the file (seeds) and number of people downloading the file (peers) as well as your physical connection. An average speed on ADSL is 20-30kB/s but I have been able to achieve 300kB/s on cable.

    Good luck.

I use http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ very good program, can customize it alot and add rss news feeds from mininova and the like, so I have mine setup to automatically download the new episodes when they are released but I'm pretty sure utorrent can do this as well, think there's more plugin's though for azureus.

If anyone is interested in automatically downloading Top Gear/Fifth Gear (u have to leave the client open though) goto here for instructions :

(also more infor here : http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php't=8672)
If you use uTorrent, check out this tutorial: http://www.utorrent.com/rsstutorial.php

If you use Azureus, here is a step by step guide: http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php't=11599

Since BitTorrent is a P2P filesharing system installing it will increase the exposure of your sytem to malware attack. If you are going to use this kind of software please make sure you have your anti-virus software fully updated and running and ALSO install and run a variety of anti-spyware software (there are plenty of excellent anti-virus and anti-spyware programs available for free). Only use software recommended by anti-malware professionals because there are plenty of fakes out there which will make the problem worse.

For recommended free software ("freeware") and if you need help getting nasties out of your PC go to www.bleepingcomputer.com
    they are the best.

I use AVG antivirus, Sygate personal firewall, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, Ewido security suite and Asquared(A2) anti-malware.
