Hi guys
While we've seen it here courtesy of many who've found it via the net, (and thank you), Top Gear (SBS 7.30 Mon night) has just run the ep where the RR Sport takes on the the tank, and it was fascinating in its fullness, a truly amazing segment, kept a grin on my face as a Land Rover owner who saw it on air in the company of others who own and drive other things... my Dad was soooo impressed, I think he's off to get an RR Sport when he gets home - speed limited to 140mph - 'cause the tyres wont take any more speed? Loved it and thank you Top Gear - you've put all we LR owners in context. TG maybe a lot of hilarious fun - but if the car in question isn't 'top gear', Clarkson and Co give them an absolute flogging, which must surely get up the noses of the so called car czars.
Which, digressing, brings me to ask a point (off topic, apologies) - any thoughts on the VE Commodore? Or do we really care? My D1 does it for me!
Cheers, GQ

It looks even more like a Falcon than a Falcon.
Seriously, the cleverest quote of the night goes to James May regarding the Honda "Element" MPV thingy...
"...would the Element be a car for people who like hip-hop, or for people waiting for a hip-op?"
That deserves a smiley:![]()
Yeah... are they the same headlights (cluster) used on the BA/BF Falcon?
Makes me wonder why there is no diesel option on either of our 'big cars'...?
GQ
I thought the same, but that's seriously wishful thinking on the diesel engine option. Soon they'll reveal that the Foulcan & Dunnydore are actually out of the same factory in Malaysia and are shipped here in secret just to have the badges stuck on at Broadmeadows and Elizabeth.
No need to add another "awesome" about TG. I love it.
As for the VE Commodore... they spent $1 Billion on it WHERE ???
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

What about the little Toyotas playing soccer? This was great.
By the way, don't buy any low km Toyo demonstrators.
I didnt see it the other night but dad did and he was talking about it at work all day. Matt
