Eek - reality TV - for real

    Anatomy for Beginners

    Part 1 - Movement

    10.40pm - 11.35pm SBS
    Monday 17 July 2006

This four-part series profiles Professor Gunther von Hagens's work, which is considered by many to be shocking and controversial. However, anatomist Gunther von Hagens believes that the dissections he performs on real human bodies lay bare the intricacy of the human design. During each episode, von Hagens carries out a human dissection and focuses on a different set of anatomical systems: movement, circulation, digestion and reproduction. In the first episode, anatomist Gunther von Hagens dissects a man in front of an audience in order to explain how the human body moves. After the cadaver's skin is removed, von Hagens demonstrates to the audience how the body operates.

Genre: Documentary Country: UK Language: English Other: Widescreen

Thanks Omaroo, I'll make sure I tape it; the life cycle is a subject here.
We've been breeding budgies for a while which is fascinating and following the initial reaction (by the kids) to the life and death of such, the intricacies of conception, birth and fledging (which we're passing thru now) and failure have tuned my mob to the preciousness of life. Ta, GQ

Yeah I found it by mistake while channel surfing. Kinda fascinating, and yet another reason not to donate your body to medical science.

It was a bit like that picture 'The Kramer'. Disgusting yet i couldn't look away. Did you see the naked guy having the discussed areas being painted on his body by some girl, who had to kneel in front of him with a face full of tackle? I don't what the censors would have thought. Which bit was most worrysome!

I will be tuning in next week...
