    Happy New Year

All the best for the new year to all at AULRO.

Let us hope that this year is an improvement on the last two, despite the gloomy covid outlook we see at present.

    Hello from Sherwood.

Not a great start to the New Year if you happen to be travelling interstate this week and are looking around for a Rapid Antigen Test kit…..

What a fu - and don’t mention that freaking Find A Rat website. It’s better at telling you who hasn’t got the things rather than who has.

    Cheers,

Went to the chemist in town today to get regular prescriptions. They have a very large sign out the front indication they have none and don't know when they will have any.

None to be had anywhere - work gave us a box each for Christmas along with a hamper as a ‘joke’ gift but I think they’ll come in very handy shortly - or I could sell them on eBay for $100 each maybe??? Happy New Year

I just ordered a 2 pack test kit from Chemist Warehouse Online, looks like you can only get one at a time but better than nothing I suppose.

I asked our Chemist yesterday who had a sign up they had sold out, if I could order a test kit & they put it on our account & hold it for us. Was told they can't get any , don't know when or if they will be getting any & the whole thing is a complete stuff up.

    Wayne,

That pretty much sums it up - once they decided to allow the RAT’s to substitute for PCR tests the job went southwards. Might improve in the next few weeks - hope it does.

Fortuitously, I’m sitting in the Qantas Club editing for takeoff to Launceston in a while. I managed to get a test kit in Darwin shipped here Express Post that arrived last night.

God forbid what will happen when the next variant arrives.

    Cheers,

    Neil
