Interesting as well,there are now wild cats on the island,and many turtles(we used to call them tortoises) have died in recent years in the lakes due to eating Cane Toad tadpoles.Basin Lake has lost most of its turtles due to these introduced pests.It used to have thousands of turtles.
There were also recent pictures taken by wildlife cameras of three Brumbies,on the north part of the island,so they havent been completely eradicated.
