If you do a search on www.discoweb.org you will find a $20 solution. It's not pretty, you need to leave the vehicle to engage difflock, but usually I engage it when I am offroading until I finish offroading. He basically attached a bracket to the CDL bolt, and then ran a piece of 1/2 aluminum stock out to the sill, and had that poke through a slit. Pull out the stock, engage, push in, disengaged. You have to make sure your tcase has the CDL bolt/nipple on it.
My light works on my panel to show I am locked.
