Blown the cover off the gazebo as well?
Just been down the park, which is next to the Logan River.
Its almost up to 2011 levels, and its higher now at low tide than it was at high tide this morning.
Tomorrows high will be interesting.
We are way up on a hill, fridge full of food,so fine.Just trying to sort out roof leaks....again![]()
It's overflowing the bridge at the bowls club north of Samford now- that's got to be 6 or 7 m above normal?
I have been pumping 200mm of water out of the pool all day , just finished the 4th pump. Big bill at the pool shop when this is over. Will put about 10L liquid chlorine in the morning can't be much salt left with what I have pumped out last few days.![]()
We have been cooking on a portable single butane gas burner for last 6 weeks , Our induction cook top carked it & is dearer to repair than for a new one . Because we have stone bench tops we had to buy the same brand again , there web site showed in stock two 1week delivery , 3 days later they sent new D/D of 4 weeks then the day before delivery rang to say another two weeks , STD reason on transport due to Covid . New D/D is tomorrow , won't hold my breath , new excuse will be due to floods i guess.
Jeezuz! You poor buggers are really copping it. I've never seen water flow along a Public road & into properties like some of those images. Being swept away would be your biggest concern I would think. The worst is yet to come I imagine, with repairs & cleaning up the Manor.
We'd just like a bit of that but it always goes North & South of Adelaide for some reason until later in the season.
I reckon it is probably the hot air rising from Parliament House that cause the wet stuff to divert, a bit like a Freeway.
Oh well keep dry & keep safe if you can. If you can't be careful.

Problem is here in Qld it is almost impossible to find any trades people to do the work , I have been trying to get a Brick Layer for over 2 years all say there too busy & if you use the people your insurance send out it takes for ever to get the job completed. We used our insurances recommended repairer about a year & half ago , they quoted $12,000 to replace two whirlybirds , three roof tiles , three colour bond sheets on our pergola & the pool heater solar panels , took then a year to complete the work . The pool heater panels installed was around $3,000 so they pocketed $9,000 for less than a days work & less than $500 in materials. No wonder our insurance is so expensive . I should have taken the Insurance Co's offer to pay me out , could have done it all in less than a week & for less than $6,000. This is going to make it even worst.
