I don’t really believe in ext bump stops in a rover (unless to fit larger tyres), they are so easy to extend the mounts (minus D2). By doing this you can fit longer travel shocks without losing up travel.
The donut bushes on the chassis with bind with long travel shocks fitted, so kinked trailing arms need to be fitted.
Both shock mounts and trailing arms can be brought, but mine are home made
For the shock mounts I just used 12mm plate and relocated the std shock mount “X” above original. (This measurement will depend on the closed length of your shock).
The std shock mount has the pin in an up swept position mine have been cut and re-weld in a neutral position.

These are Cal's, hope he does not mind me using his photo (he has used just a pin rather then re mount the original mount this looks easier then mine.)
For my trailing arms they are just std arms that have were sleeved in some left over roll cage pipe then bend in a pipe bender.
You may also have to look at your brake lines as they may need extending.
Thanks for that Benny - just what i thought.
I dont think ill be able to adjust my upper shock mount with my Disco1.
I have standard offset wheels ie cant space the shock mount out and up, and no room to move the mount up.
Has anyone modified their shock mounts on a Disco 1 without a body lift?
Checking her out after some mods.
