Electric drive for PTO Winch.
I recently changed the Non synchro gearbox in my PowerWagon for a 5 speed synchro from a later model Dodge truck.
There is no PTO winch drive option available. I wanted to keep my winch functional so came up with this nifty idea. Presumably the Post Hole Digger gearbox will be strong enough if it can screw a 8" Auger into the ground & survive hitting the odd rock & tree root.
Most people would just bolt on an electric winch but the old Braden winch is part of the Dodges identity, as is a Bamford etc on a ex Army Series 2 or 3 Landy. Not going to win a winching competition but at least it works if I do get bogged (not likely) .

Result , but not what I was expecting .
what you can't see here the left front wheel is up against a root acting like a chock, still when the car stopped moving forward and winch kept turning it had me puzzled. As rotted as it was the last thing I expected was to pull the redgum stump out.
