    Vale Bernard Cribbins

    Bernard Cribbins left us a few days ago.
    I've watched & listened to him in films & TV programmes since I was a kid.

    Many parts in films during the 60's & 70's including the The Railway Children, several Carry On films and The Plank.
    The narrator in the Wombles for the early episodes and he starred in Fawlty towers (The Inspector). More recently he was in Doctor Who.

    He also had a couple of comedy record hits.

    Jackanory was what I remember him most for - the kids bedtime story type show on TV in the 70s/80s.

    Not only recently in Doctor Who...... he was in the second doctor who movie in 1966.
